Hi, I have really had this question for a while, and I hope you guys can help me answer it. I keep wondering if the benefits of electric cars really outweigh the costs. I don't think spending $60,000 on a car that gives you 300 miles per charge is worth it when I can find a simple functional gas car that can give me 30 miles per gallon. In addition to that, lithium, which is a major component in the batteries of cars, is in great shortage, and lithium mines ruin habitats of many species. Do electric car companies really care about the environment and are these cars really worth it? Please help me answer my question.

Hey Srithan!
While I do agree that electric cars can be expensive, I truly believe that the benefits outweigh the cost:
Electric cars can reduce your carbon footprint
More efficient than gas
Multiple charging stations across country
Can avoid gas crisis like the one occurring right now, also is cheaper since you do not need to pay for gas
Depending on the place you live there might be a law in action which is seeking to remove gas cars by a certain date, therefore buying an electric car now might lead to less of a hassle and may cost less when the law comes into effect
less noise population
Hope this answers your question
